Damian Gunn has re-joined i3Works as Defence Director, two years after his departure.
Damian is a skilled and technically experienced chartered management professional with more than 27 years’ experience within the Defence sector, his last 13 years having been focused within the P3M and ITSM space. Damian is both an exceptional leader and brings with him a wealth of knowledge gained over his professional career, from account management to IT operation & delivery. Damian possesses a strong Defence network within the consulting environment, bolstered from his previous role as Director of Consulting services at CGI, as well as the ability to generate further business development opportunities and pipeline activities.
As Defence Director, Damian will be leading and managing i3Works’ Defence contracts, working closely with other members of the senior leadership team such as James Bunce (Head of Business Development & Sales), Toby Waters (Head of Public Sector) and Chris Cooke (Delivery Director). Damian will focus on consolidating and expanding our Defence portfolio of partners and suppliers, cementing i3Works as their preferred partner/supplier of choice. This will involve proactive partnering, capture planning, and continuous client engagement across sectors and functions.

Damian’s return is part of the internal restructuring of the company, with previous Defence Director Chris Cooke becoming Delivery Director from October. Chris will now oversee all service lines and their contract delivery and billing with the updated structure also allowing i3Works to have a firm focus on alignment of Sector and Delivery. This will entail Chris working alongside sector leads and Helen Sanders (COO) to align processes and our growth direction so that our excellence in delivery is continued. This alignment will, in turn, reduce complexities and deliver economies of scales across the business more easily, whist also ensuring consistency across the organisation as a whole.
