It’s been another busy year for i3Works, during which we celebrated our 10th anniversary, secured new contracts with Defra and the Ministry of Defence, and continued to support our employees, partners, and clients with the exceptional service and expertise we’ve become known for.
With 2025 already in full swing, we’d like to take the opportunity to share some of our key achievements, successes, and milestones over the last 12 months. From promotions and project work to our charity and social events, there has been much to celebrate and learn from as we continue providing key services to the public and private sectors.
Project Wins and Professional Growth
- Earlier this year i3Works was appointed as a Framework Agreement Supplier with NHS Shared Business Services. Through the Cloud Solutions 2 framework agreement, i3Works will provide solution design and consultancy services including analysis and mapping of existing estate, cloud readiness assessments, and target architecture design.
- i3Works secured significant project wins directly with Defra, Defence Synthetic Environment Programme (DSEP), SPOTTER (see below), British Business Bank – and with our partners Fixed Networks Delivery Partner (FNDP), Integrated User Services (IUS), Defence Digital Foundry, and Defence Information Platform (DIP), showcasing our expertise in delivering innovative solutions across Defence and wider Public Sector.
- i3Works oversaw the pivotal project SPOTTER, the first AI Computer Vision system to be operationalised for Defence!
- We started an exciting partnership with Verto Cloud, providing PMO services in support of their PMO product implementation – currently working into Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington.
- We have achieved an internal ’25 by 25’ goal – reaching £25m revenue by 2025. This is in part due to our diversification across the public sector, with 50% of our capabilities now delivered outside of Defence. This has also been made possible thanks to our growing digital department, i3D, which now makes up 50% of our work.
- Our collaboration with the VCA on their Type Approvals project has transformed the organisation’s processes with a user-centred digital solution. This has led to greater global operational alignment across departments in Europe, America, and Japan, and some glowing client feedback: “The completion of the Type Approvals project is a significant milestone for VCA which couldn’t have been achieved without the i3 team. Over the past two years, their expertise, commitment, and collaboration were crucial. i3’s innovative approach, user-centered designs and technical excellence elevated the project, fostering a culture of trust and shared purpose. Their contributions have had a lasting positive impact.” – Darren Whitecross (VCA Product Lead) for Michael Luke
Beyond Business: Supporting Causes That Matter
2024 was also a year of giving back. Giving back to the community remains a core part of our ethos, whether that’s by supporting charity events, donating to grassroots sports organisations, or volunteering with local causes.
- Every year, i3Works makes a charitable donation on behalf of each employee to a cause of their choice. We have supplied kit and equipment for local sports clubs including Yeovil Cricket Club, Coity Chiefs Girls Football Team, Wellington (Telford) Amateur Swimming Club, and many more.
- We proudly sponsored a number of charity events throughout the year. This included the Churchill Dinner 2024, a significant event celebrating the invaluable contributions of the Civil Service and Ministry of Defence. Many of the i3Works team are proud former Civil Servants and Military alike, and we are honoured to work so closely with the UK public sector.
- Finn Enticott, Consultant, raised funds for Mind Charity by completing a remarkable 200km in just 31 days in March.
- Zaynab Nasrullah has volunteered with Bristol’s Feed the Homeless Charity since 2018. Zaynab has helped with hotel relocations during the COVID-19 pandemic, collecting donations, making and handing out food, and is now a Trustee of the charity.
- Our talented team dusted off their aprons at the i3Works charity bake-off in November, raising over £300 for Movember and the Royal British Legion.
Celebrating and Supporting Our People
Our people are very much at the heart of everything we do, and 2024 has been a year of connection and innovation for our team.
- i3Work’s People team has expanded this year and brought in a number of valuable initiatives. The team recently launched a Wellbeing Hub, featuring a Mental Health Support Toolkit, a calendar of events, and wellness resources. The new staff newsletter also provides a range of important information to connect and support our teams across the business.
- Daniel Cucos, Principal Consultant, received a personal mention in HMRC’s October programme success stories for achieving a major project milestone. Additionally, our work on HMRC’s Technical Health Programme earned the Security Excellence Award 2024 for the Security Project of the Year.
- We have been delighted to promote a number of our key employees throughout the year and fund a range of training programmes. This includes Sam Fuller, who has become a Senior Consultant with us after celebrating two years with the business and achieving the APMG Earned Value Management Practitioner qualification in March.
- This year we introduced the i3Social team, a dedicated group responsible for organising virtual and face-to-face activities to bring together our local and remote colleagues. The group has already put on several exciting events, including pub trips, charity bake-offs, and holiday parties.
- i3Works has hosted numerous teambuilding days across 2024. From letterpress printing to axe-throwing, our teams have continued to bond and support one another outside of their regular project work.
- There have also been a number of personal milestones across i3Works. Whether it’s engagements, weddings, or new arrivals, there has been no shortage of exciting news to celebrate. Alec Bosomworth, Principal Consultant, recently returned from a well-deserved sabbatical, during which he reached his eighth anniversary with i3Works, and got engaged and married – all within seven months!
We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our employees, partners, and clients for their unwavering support and collaboration throughout the year. Your dedication and trust drive our success, and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to work together.
As we step into 2025, i3Works remains committed to delivering the exceptional services and innovative solutions that define us and look forward to another year of growth, learning, and shared achievements.
