We speak to Finn Enticott, Consultant, about his experience on the Fast Track Consultant programme at i3Works.
Can you tell us about your career experience before joining i3Works?
I came straight out of university to i3Works so didn’t have much working experience prior to joining, but as part of my degree studies I completed a placement year in sales and recruitment.
What is your role and what does an average week look like for you?
I am a Consultant working within the Project Controls sector in a Managing and Reporting Information role. My average week involves a lot of collaboration with colleagues, ensuring that all information is up to date and efficient, as well as presenting and facilitating meetings to senior clients.
As part of the Fast Track Consultancy (FTC) programme, I was also offered opportunities to get involved in internal work. I currently run the Charity Engagement at i3Works, so for the past few months I have been sorting out i3Works’ donation plans to our chosen charities and reviewing how else we can get involved as a company.
What attracted you to i3Works?
For me, it was the clear opportunities for progression and the ability to improve my skillset through a combination of hands-on experience and qualifications/courses.
Can you share a project or achievement you’re particularly proud of?
As part of the FTC programme, I took part in a charity project where we were tasked with improving the efficiency of a local charity’s onboarding process. By identifying and solving their system issues, it meant that the charity could focus their time on helping others and their volunteers and employees had a much smoother onboarding experience. Once we handed over the delivered products, the staff were delighted with the final result and overall, it was a very successful and meaningful project to be part of.
How would you describe the culture at i3Works?
The culture is one of the most attractive aspects of i3Works. Regardless of seniority, everyone is very welcoming and happy to help where possible
What’s your favourite part about working here?
My favourite part about working at i3 is definitely the opportunities to grow and improve your skillset. This is through the opportunities to get involved in internal work, completing qualifications and an array of diverse client work.
How does the company support your professional goals and aspirations?
The company have supported my career goals by offering the opportunity to complete qualifications to improve my skillset and knowledge. Similarly, they have given me the opportunity to get involved in internal work which aligns with passions that I have outside of work. They also provided me with a mentor/coach which is very beneficial if there are any questions I want to ask or need guidance with something.
What do you do in your spare time?
I am quite an active person, I enjoy running regularly as well as watching and playing football.
What would you say to someone considering applying for a job at i3Works?
If you want to work somewhere that has a great culture, offers opportunities to grow and embraces passion, i3Works is for you.
